   History

AEROMAN, which now is a member of the AVEOS group, was established in 1983 to provide support to TACA as well as to provide third party maintenance services. Our first facility was a one-bay hangar, which was completed in 1984.

TACA, our founding company, is one of the oldest continously operating airlines in the Americas. The airline was originally established in 1931 in New Orleans as a cargo airline operating between North and Latin America . In 1984 the airline relocated its operations to El Salvador International Airport.
AEROMAN became an FAA 145 Repair Station in 1992 and began providing third party heavy maintenance and modification services to leasing companies and U.S. airlines. The third party heavy maintenance business grew considerably; and in 1996, AEROMAN opened the new four-bay facility.

Today, AEROMAN is the leading MRO in Latin America providing airframe heavy maintenance services to premier North American airlines such as jetBlue and US Airways as well as leading Latin American airlines.
